MAIN STYLES Hardstyle – with a soul
BIOGRAPHY Time for the rise of a new kid on the block: KidEast. Born as Kid Oostwouder, he started making music in 2017 – kicking off his career with future house due to his love for melodies and the use of emotion. Come 2021 he switched to hardstyle, a genre that gave him more energy and a better soundscape to express himself. To expand on his knowledge he took part in the PACT Amsterdam music course, followed by an ongoing trajectory at the breeding grounds of Dutch DJ talent: the Herman Brood Academy.
The name has an incredible story. Kid’s father had a successful career as a musician. When he put family first and Kid was born, he dreamt of his son to continue that career path. The artist name his parents came up with at birth: KidEast. When Kid decided to become a musician, he proposed that same name to his parents, fulfilling a beautiful prophecy.
KidEast’s goal is to develop his own sub-genre within hardstyle involving the use of organic sounds, real-life instruments, unique atmospheres and his characteristically bouncy kicks. The constant streak of unique releases have already led him to playing Defqon.1, Elektrum and even a club show in Norway.
